Description wolfista 2008-09-14 11:51:48 UTC
Version: 1.9.9 (using 3.5.9, Debian Package 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-2+b1 (lenny/sid))

I have been using several Linux versions on separate partitions. Each of them contains kmail, with some hundred mails in several folders.
Now I'm installing a similar system on a new computer; several Linuxes on separate partitions.

wishes:
(1) one common mail data folder on a common data partition, access from various kmail installations (only one at a time).
(2) easy way to transfer mail data from old Linux to new Linux.
(3) easy way to access kmail data, e.g. for backup, to export mails into other programs etc.
Possibly this does already work, but I don't find it in the documentation.

and for the first point, symlinking $KDEHOME/share/apps/kmail/mail will work
