Version:           3.0 Beta 2 (Battleship) (using 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.1), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.26-5-generic

It would be very, very nice that in future versions of Adept, packages could once again be searched for by name in Adept Manager.
Aside from being the easiest way to search for packages, it's confusing when search doesn't work as expected.

Actually, I believe there is a bug here.
For example, if you type "krit" Krita will appear for a very short time then disappear.

Yes, this needs to be fixed before 3.0 final. I roughly know how, I just haven't gotten around to it.

This bug has several reports and quite a few comments on Kubuntu... is there a way to help here?
