Version: (using KDE 4.1.1) Compiler: gcc 4.1.2 OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled From Sources Hello, I've created a construction which adds an "autofs managed network mountpoint" to the homedirectory. It looks like: /home/sbon/Global Network/Windows Network/ Workgroup/ HostA/ share1/ share2/ share3 HostB/ share4/ share5 This goes completely automatic, the tree is built automatic, the mountpoint is added automatically when a session starts. Now autofs does allow per share mounting, which means that a share is only mounted when entered. Now when I access the contents of a "host", I get a list of shares as it should. But now all the shares are mounted, which is not necessary. It would be far better when a share is only mounted when it's accessed. This comes probably because Dolphin checks the contents with a stat call. This is good when it's the local filesystem, but it would be very good when this is turned of when accessing other filesystems. In this case cifs. Stef Bon
I think this should be re-assigned to kio.
Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719
Is this still a problem with today's versions of Dolphin and KIO?
