Description Bohan 2008-09-07 14:35:03 UTC
Version: 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.1) (using 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.1), Arch Linux)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.25.15-bh

Konqueror 4.1 prompts each and every time a login is made to a authenticated website to save the password. There are three options: Yes, No and Cancel. If one selects No, konqueror still asks again next time, which is ver unintuitive. The only current way of disabling password saving is to disable KWallet, but other apps like Kopete and KRDC also use it to store credentials and there are many people like me who want automatic logins to MSN during startup but do not want logins to websites to be remembered. Please implement a feature to disable the password saving features, either globally for konqueror or on a site specific basis (like the Javascript policy management features). For example, in Firefox there is a checkbox "Remember passwords" which when unchecked disables the Password Manager only for web browsing while still allowing you to remember email POP3 account credentials for automatically checking new mail with Thunderbird.
