Description Jonathan Thomas 2008-09-05 01:57:11 UTC
Version: 2.10.999 (using 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.1), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.26-5-generic

Currently opening a .deb file in Ark does nothing. This normally wouldn't be a problem, (handling .deb files would probably be a good wishlist item) but currently Ark is the default handler for .deb files. Ark probably shouldn't be in the file association list for .deb files until it can handle them.

libarchive already handles deb "ar" archives, it just wasn't registered as a mimetype. Waiting for the commited fix to show up here, but either way thanks for the bug report, I know ark is full of lots of easily fixable small problems like these, so keep the reports coming :)
