Version: (using KDE 4.1.1) OS: Linux Installed from: SuSE RPMs After updating from KDE 4.1.0 to 4.1.1 from the opensuse-buildservice I can't activate Compositing anymore. In 4.1.0 this was working fine, also compiz is working without problems. If I activate Compositing in kwin, I see about 1 second a normal screen with shadows, transparent window-title etc as if it's working, but then kwin is switching back to "normal" mode. If I start kwin from a console, I get following while switching: QTimeLine::setDuration: cannot set duration <= 0 QTimeLine::setDuration: cannot set duration <= 0 QTimeLine::setDuration: cannot set duration <= 0 QTimeLine::setDuration: cannot set duration <= 0 QTimeLine::setDuration: cannot set duration <= 0 QTimeLine::setDuration: cannot set duration <= 0 QTimeLine::setDuration: cannot set duration <= 0 QTimeLine::setDuration: cannot set duration <= 0 kwin: X Error (error: BadAlloc [11], request: X_GLXCreatePixmap[GLX+22], resource: 0x3e09558) kwin: X Error (error: GLXBadDrawable[GLX+2], request: X_GLXGetDrawableAttributes[GLX+29], resource: 0x3e09558) kwin(5287): Compositing self-check failed, disabling compositing. I'm using the nvidia-driver 173.14.12 and opensuse 11.0 x86_64
