Version: (using KDE 4.1.1) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages I hooked folderview up to my school account via the path fish://di080312@brok.diku.dk and it displayed the files perfectly. However it doesn't know where my homefolder is when I want to create a file, resulting in folderview trying to create the folder/file in / and failing with the following message: Could not make folder fish://di080312@brok.diku.dk/Aflevering1.
Created attachment 27213 [details] Screenshot where showing files to delete with path Also it's not possible to delete, which seems strange since as you can see it actually finds the correct paths for my home directory
let me withdraw the statement about not being able to delete files.. it seemed to be a problem with it not accessing trash:/ however it is possible to delete permanently. Sorry about that last one.
this is actually problem with the fish protocol in general; it doesn't work anywhere it is used. i think what needs to happen is for the url to expand to include the home dir when just listed with fish://hostname (no '/')
I'm experiencing the same problem with sftp make a new folder-view on sftp://dhermilly.dk and create a folder "New Folder" then I get a plasma error-message stating "Access denied to sftp://dhermilly.dk/New Folder." could be that it hasn't navigated into my home-dir for folder-creation although that is what it is showing.
btw. using kde 4.7
As Aaron suggested 4 years ago, this is about not expanding the path to the actual user folder.
