Description George Kiagiadakis 2008-09-01 17:01:30 UTC
Version: 1.10.0 (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc version 4.3.1 (Debian 4.3.1-9)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

Steps to reproduce:

1) Make sure your account is not configured to check new email every x minutes. If it is, unconfigure it and restart kmail.
2) Now, configure again your account to check email every one minute.
3) Minimize to the system tray.
4) Send an email to yourself using some other client or webmail application.
5) Wait for one minute. KMail does not fetch the new email.
6) Use check mail to actually get the email and restart kmail
7) Repeat steps 3 and 4. Now kmail fetches the new email after one minute. (which means, a restart of kmail is required, although it shouldn't)

I have seen this behavior with both POP3 and IMAP accounts.
