Version:           1.6.6 (using KDE 3.5.9)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Pristine Kubuntu hardy installation

- Start Console
- Change Schema to black On White
- Save (Save as default)

Next login it is back to white on black

Sorry, KDE 3 no longer supported.  Reopen if you find this issue with the latest KDE 4.
