Description Cristi 2008-08-28 23:14:15 UTC
Version:           unknown (using 4.1.62 (KDE 4.1.62 (KDE 4.2 >= 20080814)), Gentoo)
Compiler:          x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25-gentoo-r4

I've recently migrated to oss-4 from alsa, removed the alsa use flag, recompiled if use changed and all the other apps work fine execept kmix: it doesn't start. kmixrc will show:kmixctrl(32321)/kmix Mixer_OSS::open: "No UDI found for '/dev/mixer'. Hotplugging not possible"
kmixctrl(32321) Mixer::openIfValid: Mixer::open() detected master:  "0"
kmixctrl(32321)/kmix MixerToolBox::possiblyAddMixer: mixerNums entry of added mixer is now: 1
kmixctrl(32321) Mixer::getGlobalMasterMD: Mixer::masterCardDevice() returns 0 (no globalMaster)
kmixctrl(32321) Mixer::setGlobalMaster: Mixer::setGlobalMaster() card= "OSS::ICH_AC97_Mixer_(ALC850):1"  control= "0"
kmixctrl(32321)/kmix MixerToolBox::initMixer: "Sound drivers supported: OSS
Sound drivers used: OSS"
Total number of detected Mixers: 1
kmixctrl(32321)/kmix Mixer::~Mixer: Auto-unregistering DBUS object "/Mixer0". if I run kmix in gdb will exit without error.
