Version: (using KDE 4.1.0) Installed from: Slackware Packages OS: Linux When kill kate with the button in the title bar, the kate process will not quit. But when kill kate with the "File>Quit", the process will quit. So it will eat up my memory after quit kate in unclear way many times. The same problem happens in Konq. From the screenshot you can see there is no kate in the task bar, but the process remains: http://picasaweb.google.com/chaos.pr...81961714677458
Please, could you attach the screenshot here on bugzilla? The file you've linked doesn't load. Thanks
Created attachment 26875 [details] screenshot I also found that if you launch Kate in Konsole and kill kate in the title bar you can see the cursor won't exit to prompt, i.e the process didn't exit. If you quit Kate in "File>Quit", the cursor will exit to prompt precisely.
