Description vsayikiran 2008-08-15 15:50:05 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages
OS: Linux

I want sky color should change during solar eclipse. During a solar eclipse, the amount of sunlight which reaches on earth changes depending upon the position of moon and observer. Hence sky color should change as moon passes in front of the sun. Also some bright stars should be visible during the day when the sun is occulted (lets say more than 90%) by moon.I don't know whether this can be implemented or not. But i feel this would be a nice feature.

This wish seems related to bug 149930. An eclipse is after all just a special case. I do not mark it as a duplicate though as the eclipse case is not mentioned in #149930

I agree with Mederic; we should add this feature if/when we add dynamic sky lighting in general. Since it's a special case, I'm leaving it as a separate bug report. I will make a note in #149930 that this is related.

If possible lunar eclipse can also be considered as a special case. Where the surface of the moon as well as the night sky becomes dark.
