Version: 0.50.80 (using KDE 4.1.0) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Steps to reproduce. - open konsole fullscreen - open a kopete IM chat window - raise konsole above the IM window - get incoming message - window flickers Is this normal? I have "Focus follows mouse" set. I would think it should stay up and not go back. I get expected behavior if I replace konsole with a Firefox 3 window.
Can you still reproduce this bug with a recent KDE (4.1.4 / 4.2beta2 / 4.2rc1 / 4.2svn / 4.3svn) ? Thanks :)
we need more information to solve this bug. Please provide the information requested in comment #1 and reopen the bug. Also, please let us know what settings need to be set in kopete in order to reproduce this. Copying the non-account settings from your kopeterc file into another file and attaching it would really help. Thanks.
Whoa, sorry about missing the first comment. I am still having this problem with the uploaded Kubuntu Intrepid where Kopete is 0.70.0 with KDE 4.2.1. In the configuration under Behavior -> General I have "Open messages instantly" selected. In Behavior -> Events I have "Enable events while away" & "Rasise window on incoming message" selected. I do NOT use virtual screens so I only have 1 screen. I am testing it now and the only thing I can reproduce is that the chat window does not get raised on a new message. If I leave the chat window open and maximize Konsole or Firefox (to cover the chat window), it will not come up when a new message arrives. If I minimize the chat window and a new message arrives, the chat window DOES come up above all the other windows. When I created this ticket I saw the chat window come up briefly a above the other windows and then disappear. I am not able to reproduce that right now.
