Version: (using KDE 4.1.0) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux Closing a konqueror window does not terminate the process associated with that window. In addition running konqueror again does not deal with these processes. This can lead in some cases (Like mine, before I discovered this) to having a large number of konqueror instances running, taking up RAM and small amounts of CPU (I had up to 600mb of RAM tied up), and generally slowing down the system immensely. Reproduction steps: 1: Open a konqueror window. 2: Run "pidof konqueror" from a konsole, note the PIDs. 3: Close the konqueror window. 4: Run "pidof konqueror" again. The PID is still there. Running Debian Unstable (with KDE 4.1 from Experimental) on x86_64 system.
