(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: konqueror Version: cvs 2000-12-09 Severity: normal Installed from: source If you try to drag a link to another konqi window it won't work if that other window shows a frameset. It works if it's just a single (HTML) page. (submitted via bugs.kde.org)
The feature of drag and drop a link from a web-page to another Konqueror window is very usefull. When you get a lot of resuts from your web search engine you can open a new window and drag there the results one after one for examining.

I understand what the original reporter was trying to convey and was going to report it myself until I saw this entry. Please let me give a example: 1. open a konqueror window 2. split konq into two views 3. in one frame go to www.google.com and search for "american" 4. drag the aa.com link (2nd google listing) into the other view so that you have one view of google results and one aa.com view with a frameset 5. now drag a different link from the google results onto the view with aa.com. Because aa.com has frames you can't drop it to open the new google option. This really defeats one of the great things about konq's views since so many sites have frames. You can't effectively use a two view index/view setup to browse search engine results if you view a link with a frameset. This was performed with the current cvs head on debian woody x86. Thanks Michael --
