Description Christoph Burgmer 2008-08-02 12:55:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

Clicking on a plasmoid entry under favourites in the add widget dialog removes all instances. This seems to be connected to Bug 165135.

This is critical for the Notes plasmoid as all text is lost.

don't click on the '-' sign then?
Comment 2 Christoph Burgmer 2008-08-03 14:03:41 UTC
Hi Aaron, I am reopening as I just realised that the behaviour is more complex than described. I was talking about just selecting the entry (e.g. clicking on the entries text), which in return removes all instances of this plasmoid.

The behaviour described can not be seen initially on my side, but playing around with the "Add Widget" dialogue seems to set some kind of quirk mode.

Steps to get the described behaviour:
- select an entry in the "All widgets" view
- switch the views from "All widgets" to "My Favourite Widgets"
- at this point the entry's text and icon disappears for me, only the red minus and the yellow favourite icon are shown and the initially described behaviour can be seen: clicking on the row removes the plasmoid.

When reporting the bug I came across the text disappearing, but I didn't connect this to the "remove on select" bug. Once observed you seem to lose the widget in all cases.

Sorry for not being so clear in the first place.
