As i work with the menubar hidden, i place the bookmark icon near the URL bar. If i left click over it, the bookmarks don't appear. I must hold on the click until they appear. It takes 1-2 seconds.

This happens with no bookmarks, with a few bookmarks, with 50 bookmarks, so it seems independent from how many bookmarks i have.
