Description julian.schwartz 2008-08-01 11:10:55 UTC
Version: 0.5 (using 4.1.00 (KDE 4.1.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-19-generic

when I plug in a new output device (TV, HDMI, DVI, VGA etc..) running xrandr in console gives me immediately the newly plugged in device, the right-click on krandr doesn't show the update, it only shows the old screens. If I close the krandr process and reopen it, the new device is beeing shown. This shouldn't be like that. Every right-click should collect the new information about possibly plugged in devices.

It would also be very neat to have an event-based info popup. I plug in a device, and Krandr shows me a popup-note: New device found: Use as xxx.

Confirming with KDE 4.2.0, Kubuntu Intrepid packages.

When using "Display Settings" (or whatever it is in english - I'm on a german locale here), the currently connected displays show up and can be configured correctly. However, not even opening this dialog this causes the right-click menu to refresh.
