Description Anders Lund 2008-07-30 13:55:21 UTC
Version: 2.10.999 (using 4.1.00 (KDE 4.1.0), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.24-16-generic

With kde 4 I can not extract a file to a ftp location, a much appreciated feature that have been lost.

If the bug still hapens, can you please provide more details? What exactly were you trying to achieve? Were you using Konqueror and Ark?
Comment 2 Anders Lund 2009-04-02 08:58:02 UTC
I open an archieve with ark, then presses "extract...", and types in ftp://me@mysite.com/path as the destination. Instead of asking for the ftp password, ark asks if it should create the folder "path".

Still valid using kde 4.2.1

Kubuntu 9.04, KDE 4.2.2, Ark 2.12

The same occurs with samba shares (smb kio) in KDE 4.2.2.
Beyond that, Ark tries to access a smb-network workgroup (remote:/smb-network) that does not exist.

Although the other bug is more recent, I'm marking this one as a duplicate of #204323 since it's already marked as a bug and describes the problem more accurately.
