Description Ian Alexander 2008-07-26 02:10:49 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.98)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

It would be really cool if Plasma had some ability to select multiple widgets and give them the same size. I should like to be able to tell KDE that I want to set my taskbar to be the same height as my clock, or my application launcher widget to be the same width as my show desktop widget, without having to do it by hand.

IE, I select one widget, then somehow select a second at the same time. In the context menu for the second one, options like "make this widget same height as first widget" or "make this widget have the same dimensions as first widget", &c, could appear.

Maybe it could even be done in a way so that one widget inherits the widget size of another widget, so when widget x changes height, widget y follows suit.

Hello!

This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable.

Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting

If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging

Thanks for your understanding!

Nate Graham
