I updated my desktop to KDE: 4.1.00 (KDE 4.0.99 (4.1 RC1+)) "release 13.7" today. Previous version was around 10.7.2008.
1) My original the Notes widget disappeared with content also  :-(
2) If I added new Notes widget then I'm not able to write text

Additionaly the notes plasmoid does not allow to write text if it is in the panel AND not all windows are minimized.
Obviously it does not get the focus if you click in it as long there is another window on the desktop.
That problem does not occur if you have the plasmoid placed on the desktop.

Confirmed, we should probably make the notes a popupapplet in smaller panels.

Writing notes works. So isn't this now more a wishlist item than a bug?
