Description Jens 2008-07-23 18:00:03 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.98)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Actually, I think it's a bug report not a wish.

When I'm in some mail folder in kmail in the list view and there's one mail selected and I want to select the next one (which is right underneath) I have to click the right arrow key but the down arrow does not work. This makes no sense at all. The next mail is underneath the first one, so it would be natural to move around with up and down arrows. It took me quite a while to figure out that instead the right and left arrow keys are working. To a new user this behavior is pretty frustrating.

Out of curiosity what key do you suggest for the current "up/down" key actions (scroll the mail text)?
Comment 2 Jens 2008-07-23 19:59:11 UTC
Wow, that works indeed. Well, I always disable the preview of mails so actually nothing happens when click the down arrow. Now that you've said this I checked it out for myself and it does work like you say. 3.5 years of using kmail and I just discovered this new feature.

Anyway, is there a way for me to change this behavior since I don't use mail previews?

Well, that was a stupid bug report then. Sorry for wasting your time.
