Description Elias Probst 2008-07-18 02:19:06 UTC
Version: SVN r834083 (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

Akregator doesn't handle middleclicks on links inside articles properly.

How to reproduce:
- Open an article in Akregator
- Do a middleclick on a URL in this article

What happens?
- The middleclicked URL is opened in the same tab/window, just like it was leftclicked

What should happen?
- The URL should be opened in a new tab or external window (behaviour could be configurable) on a middleclick.

I can confirm this, it is really annoying.

The summary has been changed on this issue, and it has been changed to a wish.

I would like to state for the record, that this used to work in versions before kde4: in a tab, when middle clicking a link, it would open in a new tab (in the background), just like konqueror did, and still does.

Right now, one needs to right click, and select open tab on the menu, but it opens the tab with a focus change.

I consider the middle click opening in the current tab a bug. Perhaps not an important bug, but a bug nevertheless.
