after selecting feed preselect the previously selected article (KMail like)

Similar apps should behave similarly. Wished behaviour

click on A feed -> first (*) article is preselected
I click on the 5th article
click on B feed -> first (*) article is preselected
click on A feed -> the 5th article is preselected

(*) assuming you never saw any article from A and B before

Currently akregator shows alway info about the feed which is useless after time -- this should be shown only once, after adding new feed (and on explicit user request).

Thank you for the bug report. Unfortunately we were not able to get to it yet. Can we ask you to please check if this is still an issue with Akregator 6.6.0
