Version: (using KDE 4.0.83) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: 4.3.1 OS: Linux With kde 4* dualhead setup doesn't work as it works at kde3, I have 2 monitors with resolutions 1280x1024 and 1024x768, at first monitor(1280x1024) i can see only part of desktop it limited by 1024x768 resolution, second just black screen, but i can move mouse cursor besides monitors.
I'll second that and add that something strange is happening in the screen properties. The screen properties list only one screen (the first screen defined as Screen0 in my case), but displays the correct definition for that screen (i.e. 1920x1200). However, it's the definition of Screen1 that's enforced on Screen0 (i.e 1920x1080). So that the desktop sits 120 pixels above the bottom of the Screen0. However, KDM fills uses the correct definition. Regards,
confirmed, I get two background images on :0.0, but can launch apps on the other display. When I choose "zoom out", I get presented two different shaped desktops(as my displays are 16:9 and 4:3 resp.) on :0.0.
can you please check again if that still applies with a more recent trunk (or soon beta1)? the inclusion of kephal should have made things work more nicely toghether. =)
/me has the same question like at comment #3 :) So, anyone able to still reproduce this with beta1 (or newer)? Thanks in advance for any additional detail :=)~
user inactivity and most likely this bug has already been fixed - closing. please reopen if you are able to reproduce it with a newer (>= KDE 4.2 beta 1) version.
Reconfirmed for 4:4.1.80-0ubuntu1~intrepid1~ppa2 (=4.2 beta 1) under Kubuntu. Second screen blank. Amdcccle can identify second screen (displays idendentification number on second screen) and I can move the cursor over. Good old Windowmaker works perfectly fine with an otherwise unchanged setup. Xinerama is NOT an option. For me this is a showstopper for kde4.

Still the same in 4.1.82.
How to reopen this bug? Reconfirmed for 4:4.1.85-0ubuntu1~intrepid1~ppa1 (Kubuntu).
