Version: 1.9.52 (using KDE 4.0.83) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux This has been a problem with most every major version upgrade and the only way I have solved it is to manually find these icons on a previous version and copy them!

I have spam/ham icons here. Did you start with a fresh config or did you reuse the old config? In case of an old config, there's not much we can do, the whole icon naming scheme changed for KDE4 (and it would be a duplicate of bug 117414).
Is this bug really about missing icons ? Wouldn't it be about missing buttons in kmail's toolbar ? If so, they will only appear if the spam filtering was configured (using : tools/Anti-spam wizard)
Did you get the ham/jam spam icons? In the toolbar after running the wizard?

I think David indeed talked about the icon graphics - as you cannot copy buttons from old to new kmail. That problem I cannot reproduce. As long David doesn't report back, I see this as a WORKSFORME

Now I have two copies of the "filters" and I then remove from the filter menu, the old ones. Any new version (or if the config has been lost) of kmail has this problem. Call it minor.
