Description Aldoo 2008-07-05 17:34:14 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.83)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

As a screenshot is better than a long speech, please first check the file attached in the next comment.
In that screenshot, you can see that the URL bar is too much on the left, in fact, the leftmost part of it cannot even be displayed in the window.
I have also another toolbar (address bar) that should be displayed even more on the left and of course is not displayed here.

Steps to reproduce:
1 - open konqueror with default settings
2 - set all the toolbars to have icons only (no text)
3 - restart konqueror

I don’t know if it is actually a konqueror bug or rather a kdelibs one, but I cannot reproduce it with other KDE apps (though they sometimes have other bugs, like not remembering toolbar options at all).

The bug is also here when I use plastique instead of oxygen, but sometimes quite different : after the restart, the address bar stays at its right place, but the URL bar becomes floating, or put on the wrong line. After that, KDE ignores the address bar when I move the URL bar.

There is no problem when the leftmost toolbar has text.

I forgot one step between 1 and 2: first check that two toolbars are on the same line, or move them into that position.

Ok, I reproduced it in kleopatra also (though it is not as bad as having the bar go outside the window).
So that bug can be moved to whatever KDE component it may concern.

This is a duplicated of bug 163772 .
There are also a lot of toolbar positioning bugs like:
bug 164555 , bug 166202 , bug 167659 , bug 166984 , bug 164500

Agreed, duping.
