Version: (using KDE 4.0.83) Installed from: Mandriva RPMs OS: Linux "Send Queued Messages" works but "Send Queued Messages Via" does not work either from the menu or the toolbar.
Could you please clarify "does not work"? Might be related to bug 163407.
I have two POP3 accounts with the same provider and no authentication is required to connect to their SMTP server. Steps to reproduce: 1. Compose two messages, one from account A and the other from account B, and click "Send Later Via" in the composer. 2. Selecting "Send Queued Messages Via" -> account A / B from the File menu does not send messages. 3. Clicking the "Send Queued Messages Via" button on the toolbar, with or without selecting account, does not work either. 4. "Send Queued Messages" sends both messages. Hope this is clear enough.

$ kmail --version Qt: 4.4.3 KDE: 4.1.73 (KDE 4.1.72 (KDE 4.2 >= 20081112)) KMail: 1.10.90 still has this
confirmed in trunk (rev. 887407)
(In reply to comment #1) > Could you please clarify "does not work"? > Might be related to bug 163407. Nothing to due with that bug.
Not sure if there have been changes since my version (1.9.9 / Mandriva 2008.1), but not having "Send queued mail via" working just cost me about 5 hours of work. Because it doesn't work, and because I had to switch SMTP servers, I had to unqueue about 30 emails to individually requeue them (using send via in the composer which works). Upon queuing the first one, Kmail crashed and *didn't save* the open emails. Needless to say, this is extremely frustrating. While this is the first time I've lost that much work at once due to this bug, I very very very regularly have a need for this feature to work due to traveling a lot and composing email offline regularly.
Bug still present in KMail 1.11.1 within Kontact 1.4.1 (in KDE 4.2.1). "Send via" works from the message editor but "Send queued messages via" from the main File menu does not.
@Varrin when that happens to me, i run a shell script to remove the sending account, and them mark the account I want as default to send all queued emails from it. Hope it helps. but yeah, we need this fixed
Good news, It works for me in kde 4.2.68.
Sending queued mails with "send queued mails via" worked fine here, testing with kde 4.2.69.
