Description Stephan 2008-06-20 14:32:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

In Kontact it is possible to drag an Email on the Notes or Calendar-Icons in order to generate a new appointment or note that relates to the Email.
Currently, a corresponding pop-up window appears that has already some date and time preselected. However, this is in most cases not the actual time for the appointment and the user has to change it manually. It would be nice if kontact could guess a probable time and day and propose this instead.

I would greatly appreciate the following solution to this task:
For me, an Email that triggers me to drag it to the calendar-icon usually contains the day and (start-)time of the appointment.
Kontact could detect these details from the email-text and use them for a preselection of date and time.

If the assumption taken is correct, I believe that the user would greatly appreciate the feature. If, however, the assumption is incorrect, the date and time has to be entered manually as it is done now. So in my oppinion there is now drawback to this feature.

Best regards and thank you for all your great work - I really enjoy using the kontact suite

Stephan

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
