Version: (using KDE 4.0.5) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages File which logs when people come online, go offline, changed nickname, send file, send special emoticons, send inks, etc. This can be one file for all different protocols, or seperate one for each account. Former is nicer imho.
You already can log online/offline/new nickname messages to a file using the Notifications in your Settings menu. There are no notification events for the last items you suggested.
afaik, can't i see people go online/offline when i not have a conversation window open. Therefore (and those other events) are usefull to log to a global file.
Yes, and as I said you already can do that. This wish basically boils down to having events for receiving/sending stuff.
Well, i first really did'nt notice the log functionality there but it can do what i want. But this is not the first place too look when you search for the log system, on the other hand is it possible to specify different actions at a change. Which is nice. But i still miss the "avatar change" and the "nick change" events. The changed avatar could be shown at a popup in the tray for example.
Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
