Bug 163244 is a similar request. I think both features should be implemented and grouped together UI wise.

I already wrote a patch for this. What is xStatus?

Do we want to restore the status or should we able to set one initial status that will be used on every start? My patch does the latter.

I want to restore the status, but someone may be want to set initial.
So I think it should be an option.

xStatus - icq protocol extra status.
