Description Jonathan Fosburgh 2008-06-14 00:00:36 UTC
Version:            (using Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources
Compiler:          4.2.3
OS:                Linux

We have recently "upgraded" to Outlook at my place of work. I use konqueror to access Outlook Web Access (owa). It works fine except for composing email. In OWA only, so far as I have seen, I get white on white text, or black on black text in the composer. Whatever I set the background colour to the text colour also changes. This does not happen in, for insance, firefox, or using the webkit part. The only way to view text in khtml is to highlight it. I will attempt to attach some screenshots.

What are you faking as?
Comment 4 Jonathan Fosburgh 2008-06-14 00:15:04 UTC
Here is a snippet of the code used to create the text entry area:

<div class="h">
<textarea id="txtbdyldr">

Jonathan Fosburgh
Storage Administrator
Data Center Operations and Technical Services
University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
Houston, TX</textarea>
<input type="text" id="txtsbjldr" value=""/>
</div>

Contrast with what bugzilla generates:

<b>Additional Comments:</b>
  <br>
  <textarea wrap="soft" name="comment" rows="10" cols="80"
            accesskey="c"></textarea>
  <br>

I can't see anything that seems to be setting an explicit colour in the textarea.
Comment 5 Jonathan Fosburgh 2008-06-14 00:15:45 UTC
I get the same results using no fake, using firefox, and using IE.
Comment 6 Maksim Orlovich 2008-06-14 00:16:39 UTC
Hrmhmh. Well, my university account uses outlook, and their webmail doesn't look anything like this.

As for what sets the color: CSS or Javascript.

This is exchange 2007, what version do you use?
Comment 8 Maksim Orlovich 2008-06-14 06:31:29 UTC
