Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux One thing I think is missing from the folder-view container is the ability to optionally set a label for it that's shown on top of it (kinda like the "title-bar" for the dashboard). For example, I am using four right now: 1. Points to my download folder. 2. Points to a work-in-progress, or "what I need to work on today to be able to get my reports and what not in on time" 3. Is used as a sort-of substitute for a quicklauncher applet. 4. Points at a "work in progress but with a deadline that is not yet set in stone". 1 and 3 are pretty static and does not really need a label. For number 2 I change the path and/or the filter relatively often. Number 4 is also changed occassionally but not as often as 2. The thing is, it is not always obvious which view is which of 2 and 4 since it is highly time-dependent so some sort of visual clue would be of immense value to me.
there's a title bar in svn already. it shows the current path being shown. is that good enough for you, or is this wish for a customizable titlebar? if not, maybe we should turn this into that ;) setting the colour and optionally the text of the titlebar could be cool.
I was more thinking along the lines of a customizable one, but showing just the path is certainly better than no title bar. Unfortunately I have to wait to see if it's good enough until the next beta is out (and binary packages for my distro since I'm unable to compile everything needed for the current svn of KDE...which leads me to wonder why Platform is listed as Compiled Sources when I specifically told the site I was using unlisted binary packages. Oh well.)
