Description Luciano Leveroni 2008-06-09 02:34:10 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

This bug appeared for the first time a few weeks ago after an update from trunk. Basically, if I hover over a video file I notice high disk usage which causes Dolphin interface to freeze for some seconds. The freeze time is proportional to the video file size (eg. more than 30 secs of lag on a 700mb divx movie) and stops after disk is not accessed anymore. I'm not sure if this is only with video files, primary because I don't have non-video huge files.

I think it's important to notice this does NOT happens on Konqueror.

It's a very annoying behavior: I've to wait over 30 secs if a accidentally hover a file while searching for something.

Hope this gets solved soon, thanks.
