Description Christian Boerner 2008-06-08 21:59:13 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages
Compiler:          n/a n/a
OS:                Linux

I set up a Nokia E65 as locking device in KBlueLock. As long as KBlueMon does a periodic scan (window opened and checkbox periodic scan checked) the screen is locked (although it lasts rather long (about 30-60 seconds) until locking). Unlocking is rather fast (about 4-5 seconds).
When periodic scan is disabled or KBlueMon is not opened the disappearance of the Bluetooth device seems to be not registered so the screen is not locked.

OS:                   Linux x64
KDE-Version:          3.5.9
KDEBluetooth-Version: 1.0 beta 8 (as of Gentoo Ebuild)

I can confirm the same issue with the version installed with Kubuntu Hardy Heron.

   $ kbluelock --version

   Qt: 3.3.8b
   KDE: 3.5.9

Since kbluetooth is unmaintained (http://bugs.kde.org/270702) I am marking this bug as duplicate of the Bluedevil bluelock request feature.
