Version: (using KDE 4.0.4) Installed from: SuSE RPMs In KDE3 demo had more elements -- there was part of the window, all decorations, menu, etc. Add those to demo pane in KDE4 colors module as well. And please be more elaborate in examples -- when you show "!" as example: a) I don't know what that means b) I don't see real effect, because it is _1_ pixel wide So, all in all, prepare clear mockup with all elements, so the user could tell the difference.
Just for the record, Matthew thoughts from: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=175404 " Yes, this is a real problem that I've been meaning to do something about, if I ever find the time :-(. It needs a new preview widget, probably one that shows only the relevant set that is less a "real-life" preview but just a big box with the appropriate colors shown. (However I would consider this a separate issue.) "
...but not quite the same issue. I would also like to preview the window decoration, but that needs stuff copied from the windeco kcm. (Not sure why this never got confirmed though, fixing that...) The problem with the generic preview is that there isn't room for full text for everything.
I implemented a color-set preview as in comment #1 (svn revs 885845 and 885864). Window decorations are still TODO.
This is implemented now.
