Description Thomas Domenig 2008-06-04 22:24:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

It would be nice to have two different start pages in Dolphin operating with split screen mode. So I could eg. have / as starting page on the left, and ~ on the right side. That would further improve the over all superior functionality of Dolphin.

That's possible in Dolphin for KDE 4.1. Just start Dolphin this way: dolphin /home/a /home/b
Comment 2 Thomas Domenig 2009-05-21 15:50:37 UTC
This workaround doesn't work in KDE 4.2.2 (Dolphin 1.2.1) under Kubuntu 9.04. Only the second parameter (/home/b) is opened.
Comment 3 Julian Steinmann 2018-03-30 15:45:13 UTC
This does work with Dolphin 17.12.3:
dolphin --split /home/a /home/b
will open Dolphin in the way requested.
