Version: 4.00.81 (KDE 4.0.81 >= 20080527) (using 4.00.81 (KDE 4.0.81 >= 20080527), compiled sources) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-1-686 When opening a link in a new window, the new window uses a strange profile. I couldn't find which one, but it's not the "web browsing" profile.
Can you give a screenshot?
Created attachment 25078 [details] Profile differences Here are the screenshots. They are Gzipped. The first is my Web browsing profile, the second is what is opened when I click on a link opening a new window.
I tried to erase my Konqueror settings, but it didn't change anything. It sounds like it loads the "File management" profile instead of the "Web browing" profile when clicking on a "_blank" link.
Still hapenning in recent SVN.
Recompiled today, this bug is still happening.
Does this behavior only happen with links that ask for a new window ? (i.e. when you click on "open link in a new window", the right webbrowsing profile is used) If so, I can add a "me too". I do not know what profile is used, but it is clear that it is different from my webbrowsing profile, as it shows the bookmarks toolbar (which I had disabled) and text under icons. When I try to change this in the faulty window, the changes are not saved. Ah and I have had that bug for a long time, and it is still here in 4.1.0.
Yes! We have exactly the same bug. It only happens with "_blank" links. Never when I use "Open in a new window".
Same problem here. Clicking on such a link opens a window without profile-specific settings applied (or at least it shows toolbars that I have disabled). What's interesting is that using "Open in a new window" from the context menu of the problematic link works properly.
The problem seems to be fixed here.
