Version: 1.0.99 (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux After selecting a directory (cd'ing into it), selecting a file, or changing settings in dolphin (view settings f. ex.) dolphin needs around 20 seconds to do anything. It completely stands still. Sometimes when changing settings, it responds immediately, with changing into directories or selecting/opening files never.
This is on an amd64 computer. There is no problem on an i386 with the same version of dolphin and system.
Can you reproduce this after removing the information panel?
So you know the problem: When I close the information panel, everything runs smoothly. As soon as I switch it on, dolphin stands still again. I have never thought that this would be the problem. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback marcus. The problem is described in another bug, and with me it even crashed when hovered over a video file ( not selecting, but the problem is still the same). I'll close this as dupe. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 163050 ***
