Version: 1.9.9 (using 3.5.9, Debian Package 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-4 (lenny/sid)) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24vesa With kmail 1.9.9 and inline view of attachements set to "intelligent", messages with jpg (for ex. 3 pictures with total 2 MB) causes an overload on the harddisk and a very slow system, only reacting after some minutes on Alt+Ctrl.+F1 to kill kontact/kmail.
I'm not able to reproduce on current trunk: I've just received an email with two big jpg (5Mb each) and kmail is quite good (only a bit slow for some seconds if I try to forward the mail)
Please attach such a test mail to verify it with a more current kmail version. Thanks.
Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this version of Kmail has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. Please try using the latest version of Kmail to see if your issue persists. If it does, please submit a new bug in "kmail2". Thank you!
