Version: (using KDE 3.5.9) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Run Kmail, enter "kde" in QS search edit box. Quit KMail run it again. Look at QS edit box --> empty. It would be more useful if KMail kept the data entered there. After all this might be important for user.
This depend from the usecase. I'm not sure all users will like this idea, specially "week-end" users which could say: «hey, where are all my emails????» because them couldn't realize that the filter is active since the last session.
True, but: a) the QS would be on, and the search query would be visible b) KMail already tries to remember its state -- scroll in the middle of message list, remember what it was, quit kmail, run it again --> kmail will start from the point you left it My point is -- if you are working and you are interrupted (for example you have to go to the lecture, you didn't manage to finish all your work), you should be able to get back and _continue_ your work. Flawlessly.
This is a good point :)
