Version: (using KDE 4.0.3) Installed from: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Would like to see the possible support for After Dark screensaver modules with kscreensaver. I am sure there are heaps of people who still have an After Dark disk locked away in a dark drawer, and would love to see the light of day again. I know I would love to have the original flying toasters screen saver again fly around my desktop. Wikipedia article on After Dark: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/After_Dark_%28software%29 Article on After Dark Module Programming: http://www.smfr.org/computing/archaic/afterdark/adprog/adprog.html AFAIK After dark modules written will work under mac or windows, so the information should relate to both. Former Berkley Systems site information: http://web.archive.org/web/19990220202024/http://www.berksys.com/support/ Pixel Dreams free AD modules: http://www.pixeldreams.com/thirdpty.html & http://www.pixeldreams.com/afterdrk.html A good search for "Free After Dark modules" in google will find more of these goodies.
uhm, let me put it that way: no. at the source code level, AD modules should be almost trivially portable to the kscreensaver or xscreensaver api. at the binary level ... forget it.
