Version: (using KDE 3.5.8) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages I'm using digiKam to handle my pictures, and use the rating system alot. It would be nice to be able to use the rating system when you want to use some of the Kipi plugins like export to Flickr, or export to Gallery. Maybe in the file selection dialog ? a drop down menu "pictures with at least N stars", that would make the selection for you ?
It would be even nicer if you could use any search from the Export dialogs (similarly to how the list of Tags appear, you could add a list of Saved searches). That way you can set things up for export in the Search window, then select the Search - this gives you all the searching abilities of digikam including the ratings option

Generalize: Can a kipi plugin be handed a list of pix to process. E.g. Select N pix, then call the kipi editor. Create a tag, "PostOnFlicker" Tagsearch "PostOnflicker" Select all Kipi -> PostOnFlicker
Marcel, I would to implement this feature for 2.0.0 The goal is to make a new folder view including all Labels (Rating, Pick, and Color), as Tags folder view, and show it in kipi folder widget. I would like also to implement a new tab in left digiKam sidebar to show this folder view (Apple Aperture provide this feature). Gilles Caulier
