Description Brian Beck 2008-04-03 21:25:18 UTC
Version: 0.6.3 (using KDE 4.0.3)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

When I attempt to view the scheme postscript documentation in okular the document opens fine, but when I attempt to resize or scroll down the screen okular crashes. If there is anything I can do to help let me know.

Document URL: http://swiss.csail.mit.edu/ftpdir/scheme-reports/r5rs.ps
Application Version: 4:4.0.3-0ubuntu1~gutsy1~ppa3

I will attach a bug trace.

Thanks.

Does not crash here.
Can you please install debug packages, and try to get a better backtrace? Sadly, the current one is of no much use.

Output on the command line from okular

In this text file I start okular, after it finishes loading (noted in the file)
I open the document and scroll down the page.

Pino, I'm sorry I missed you comment. I don't see any debug packages for okular on ubuntu. Unless of course it is included in one of the following packages.

$ aptitude search dbg | grep kde4
p kde4libs-dbg - debugging symbols for kdelibs
p kdeadmin-dbg-kde4 - debugging symbols for kdeadmin
p kdebase-dbg-kde4 - debugging symbols for kdebase
p kdeedu-dbg-kde4 - debugging symbols for kdeedu
p kdegames-dbg-kde4 - debugging symbols for kdegames
p kdegraphics-dbg-kde4 - debugging symbols for kdegraphics
p kdemultimedia-dbg-kde4 - debugging symbols for kdemultimedia
p kdenetwork-dbg-kde4 - debugging symbols for kdenetwork
p kdesdk-dbg-kde4 - debugging symbols for kdesdk
p kdetoys-dbg-kde4 - debugging symbols for kdetoys
p kdeutils-dbg-kde4 - debugging symbols for kdeutils
p kdewebdev-dbg-kde4 - debugging symbols for kdewebdev
p python-kde4-dbg - KDE4 bindings for Python (debug extensions
Comment 5 Pino Toscano 2008-04-03 22:21:02 UTC
Okular is part of kdegraphics...

Anyway, tell us better the libgs version, ubuntu is known for shipping a broken libgs in anything < Ubuntu 8.04
Comment 7 Albert Astals Cid 2008-04-03 22:38:15 UTC
Having a look at attachment 24173 [details] i see you are using the bad ubuntu libgs, update or complain to them because of being bad packagers.
