Description DrSlony 2008-04-02 20:16:05 UTC
Version: 0.9.3 (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Unspecified Linux
Compiler: gcc-4.1.2
OS: Linux

my underexposed photos (intentionally underexposed- i was going to exposure blend them afterwards) were brightened up automatically when I wanted to convert 100 Pentax k10d raws (.pef) into tiff or png. The only settings i enabled in the raw images converter were:
-Use camera white balance
-Highlights blend
-AHD
-Color space tried srgb and adobe
-output tried tiff and png
-do not stretch or rotate pixels

The output images were either automatically brightened, or completely black.

DrSlony,

It still valid to use kipi-plugins 0.1.6 (KDE3) or 0.2.0 (KDE4) ?

Else, using digiKam 0.9.5 (or 0.10.0), there is a more powerfull tool to import RAW file to image editor. You can adjust finely all raw decoding settings.
