Created attachment 24082 [details] Few minutes later, but it complains about vim as the resource rather than xorg What does 'resource' even mean in this context?
One of the many annoying side-effects of this bug is that Kontact is brought to the top of the window stack, obscuring and interfering with the window in which I was typing just before the dialog box popped up.
You have probably enabled IMAP resource functionality in the config (in KMail under Misc->Groupware), but the folders are not real resource folders, and therefore it does not work.
I see a checkbox called "Enable IMAP Resource functionality" - it is off. I cannot recall ever turning it on, I don't even know what IMAP resource functionality means.
I also see this behavior on kubuntu 8.04 when trying to access my local imap server.
Same here with OpenSUSE-11.1/KDE4.2.88/Kmail-1.11.90 using a Gmail imap account.
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
