Version: (using KDE 3.5.8) This is companion for this report: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65469 (which is closed as fixed, but I don't see described feature in Kile). Anyway, this report is not only about just showing unicode characters instead of latex tags, but _optionally_ actually putting unicode characters (if user works in UTF-8). What's difference: * showing unicode instead of latex tags, means that you put \CYRG, the \CYRG is written to the file, but while editing for you, the character г is shown (this is what the other report is about) * using unicode (only for utf8!) means, that you click on \CYRG symbol but this time г is shown, and г is written to the file (one symbol), so the effect is like you would have (russian in this case) just that keyboard layout
Reported already (bug #159515).
