Version: 0.7 (using 3.5.9, Arch Linux) Compiler: Target: i686-pc-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-ARCH When I try to save changes with the KDE Menu Editor as a user, it tries to save it to /root/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu rather than ~/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu. Changes save just fine as root account.

Excuse me but there's any solution to this bug? A patch, a trick, something that can fix it? Thank you
what is the value of the environment variable XDG_CONFIG_HOME for the user with the problem?
Sorry, but I moved off that platform a long time ago. I don’t even have the PC that it was installed on anymore. -------------------------------------------------- From: "Will Stephenson" <wstephenson@kde.org> Sent: Monday, November 23, 2009 11:18 AM To: <geophizz@hotmail.com> Subject: [Bug 159374] Will not save changes as normal user; tries to save to /root/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159374 > > > Will Stephenson <wstephenson@kde.org> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEEDSINFO > CC| |wstephenson@kde.org > Resolution| |WAITINGFORINFO > > > > > --- Comment #3 from Will Stephenson <wstephenson kde org> 2009-11-23 > 17:17:57 --- > what is the value of the environment variable XDG_CONFIG_HOME for the user > with > the problem? > > -- > Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email > ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- > You are on the CC list for the bug. >
Ok, looks like it was set to point to a root location which it couldn't write to. Shouldn't happen really. Thanks for the quick response.
