When you start konsole there are no tabs shown.  When you connect to a server (eg. ssh server) then the tab appears.  This is inconsistent and distracting.  I think it is better to show the tab even if there is only 1 tab because it shows user and pwd information.

This is a bug which appeared after the move from Qt 4.3 to Qt 4.4.

There is an option for the tab bar to be shown only when there are multiple tabs but in this case it happens when the "Always Show Tab Bar" option is selected.

Bug in Qt.  Fixed by qt-copy patch 0225-invalidate-tabbar-geometry-on-refresh.patch
