(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kaiman Version: KDE 2.0 latest CVS Severity: wishlist Installed from: Source Kaiman reports an error if I try to play a .au format sound file: % kaiman /usr/local/kde2/share/apps/kjezz/sounds/reflect.au WAVPlayObject_impl::getPlugin zero bytes fread: Interrupted system call 8-bit ISDN u-law Sun audio file not supported: Note that I can play .wav .mp3 etc.. with kaiman and I can play the above .au file with artsplay. It looks like most of the support is there in kdemultimedia/mpeglib/lib/tplay/au.cpp. Maybe it is not handling headerless .au files properly? It would be good to support this file format as it is quite common. (submitted via bugs.kde.org)
